Types of Texas Driving Records
There are several different types of driving records that you can get for the State of Texas. We've listed the descriptions for each type of driving record below. If you need your Texas Driving Record for a traffic violation, you should choose driving record type 3A.
Type 1
Status Record:
- Name
- Date of birth
- License status
- Current address
Type 2
3-year Driving History:
- Name
- Date of birth
- License status
- List of accidents and violations in record within past 3-year period
Type 2A
Certified 3-year Driving History:
- Name
- Date of birth
- License status
- List of accidents and violations in record within past 3-year period
Certified version of Type 2. This record is not acceptable for Defensive Driving Course (DDC).
Type 3
Complete Driving History:
- Name
- Date of birth
- License status
- List of all accidents and violations in record
Type 3A
Certified Complete Driving History:
- Name
- Date of birth
- License status
- List of all accidents and violations in record
Certified version of Type 3. This record is acceptable for Defensive Driving Course (DDC).
Type AR
Abstract Driver Record:
Certified abstract of complete driving record of a license holder.
